Agnetha is most well-known as a part of ABBA than as a solo performer in Sweden. ABBA was one of the largest pop group ever worldwide and commercially. After leaving school at the age of 15 to pursue a career in music after which she began singing in Bernt's band and attracted a fan following. Enghardt secured her a contract with a record contract. She soon reached the top of the charts in Sweden when she released her first single. Bjornulvaeus, who she later married as her boyfriend, was also in the mix and she joined ABBA. ABBA was among the most popular pop bands throughout the world over the time period of 8 years. The group was awarded gold and Platinum awards around the globe. The group released three albums following ABBA"Wrap Your Arms Around Me, Eyes of a Woman as well as I Stand Alone,' which were all very successful in Sweden but also gained popularity in Europe however not in the U.S. ABBA's music was the subject of a musical jukebox called 'Mamma Mia!'.
